Japanese at Oshibori
I’m still trying to explore as much as i can of the Dundee Food Scene before i leave .
Next up on my list was Oshibori
Oshibori is a ramen and sushi bar on Dundee’s Perth Road.
The restaurant is not too big and very intimate.
The dark walls, the decor, it justs a very nice setting
The walls inside are adorned with gold decor and very eye-catching ornaments lending itself to countless photos
P.S. do not go here, hungry ! The aroma in this restaurant is enough to take your hunger levels from 0 to 100.
Well that was the case for me
It smelt so good in there, my senses started tingling and i became very excited to try their food.
I kept turning around trying to figure out what people ordered, so i could get that too.
I was already sold on the aroma, If the food tasted as good as it smelt in here, then they have definitely got a fan in me
So i kicked things off with their Crab and avocado California Rolls, Yum!
There was a wee wait but, let me tell you it was well worth it
Their presentation is everything, they had me at smell and now sight
I also ordered the chicken yakitori! I LOVED THIS
It was so so good! its basically chicken skewers in a sweet soy sauce covered with a sprinkle of sesame seeds
I loved that sauce, i literally covered everything on the plate in the sauce and ate it up!
Just not the raw onions, i can’t handle raw onions
Smell, Sight and now Taste.. Oshibori is winning !
I had the Prawn Tempura Udon for my mains
The tempura was so light and still had its crunch, I went straight for the tempura before it became soggy in the soup
I don’t know why, i just love this picture of the udon noodles
Signs of a very happy customer !
Had a lovely time at Oshibori
I really really enjoyed my meal here and i definitely recommend them, if you’re ever in the area
