“Twenty years ago I started what I thought would be a small adventure, which ended up becoming a company,” said Louboutin. “The beauty adventure is a natural extension for someone like me, who likes to empower women. To be a part of creating beauty seems like the right next step.”

With most designers having expanded into the beauty (Tom Ford, Dior, Chanel), it was no surprise that Louboutin would do the same. Louboutin have now launched a range of nail varnishes under BeauteLouboutin – their beauty line

The style of the bottle was inspired by the 8inch heel of the ballerina ultimo.

“The iconic Rouge is encased in a faceted, weighted glass bottle with an unique ombré effect. The tall slender cap, inspired by calligraphy, turns the application into a luxurious experience, inviting women to take their time. The custom-designed, patented triangular brush picks up the right amount of formula, without air bubbles, to deliver flawless, chip-resistant coverage. A highly pigmented, super glossy formula delivers in just two coats the effect of 20 layers of traditional lacquer. Enclosed in a patent leather like finish presentation box with a red reveal.

The first bottle ‘Rouge’ is available and from 14 August you can purchase in Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Christian Louboutin Boutiques. other shades would be released on the 31st of August.

Will you buy them or are $50 (£36-40) nail varnishes very ridiculous and you would stick to your standard beauty brands

If your answer is the latter, i want to let you into a secret.

Have you tried the RIMMEL – 60secs range, they are my new found favourite after OPI and ESSIE and its literally half the price

Have you ever tried them? Its so easy for someone like me, who has no patience to wait for their nails to dry, they last for like 2weeks with no top coat, which i think is very decent and I bought them on offer 2 for 1.
