Soo much chocolate at the Spice Market
Us girls went over to Spice Market to celebrate Maya’s 22nd birthday
Spice Market is an asian fusion restaurant in Leicester Square right by the W Hotel
Its so beautiful in here and the staff were amazing and so accommodating. From the moment we walked in, we were ushered to our table up the spiral stairs, the design of the restaurant was so unique
By the bar was a wall of spices; mason jars filled with countless spices & condiments containing all the colours, fragrances and spices across South-East Asia. And this spice rack is HUGEE, spanning over two floors just completing the vibe in the restaurant – it is called the Spice Market eh !
Here Here, Opy T, cheesey grins for the Win 🙂
Maya and I so focused on the menu, i’m so
indecisive particular when it comes to meals. Have to figure out what everyone is getting first 🙂
We started our meal with Lamb skewers, which disappeared as soon as it came
I ordered the Vietnamese chicken curry and sticky rice, the curry came with huge pieces of chicken, shocker !
i was pretty pleased
Mary had the Thai short rib burger and its as pretty as a picture
Cocktail Time.. and no its not Pepto-bismol on the rocks.
So here lies the problem, I’m not to big on alcohol, case of the sweet tooth, so i couldn’t decide what i wanted. Indecisive- yet again.. so we ended up requesting our own cocktail.. and the waiter was happy to oblige
We suggested our preferences and away he went
(1) rum base
(2) not too alcoholic (code for pretty sweet)
(3) berriess – we all love berries
And Voila! Here we have it, the Maya Cocktail
Gosh, it was soo yummy and Pink ! I even finished it all.. and for me that means something
Maya ordered these soft shell crab in a light tempura batter with steamed buns – soo good!!
There was an image following this, where Maya was obviously into her meal – but i decided to save her face and not include it haha. But honestly, it was that good… yours truly had a taste
Under my advice, she got the ginger fried rice as a side, which i ended up finishing
tasting.. *smug face*
Had to take a selfie! Its the in thing now
We got a complimentary desert platter with a happy birthday message – how nice
Full from our meal, seriously full but the food was soo good, we couldnt stop, it was that type of jeans unbuttoning, playsuit unzipping kind of meal. However ladies don’t do such. We found it in our hearts to try some of the dessert, Come on it was complimentary – It was the only decent thing to do
Happy 22nd Birthday to my Maya
We ended dinner with a showing of Thriller Live at theatre
Perfect compliment to a magical evening
Love & Light
